Welcome to Nature Kids March 2007 Activity Update! From everyone here at Nature Kids we would hope these last months have been productive for you and we would like to share with you our news letter.

Beginning of School Year:

Our new school year has started! Nature Kids open for a new year of English learning and for community projects. Currently in Salitral we have approximately 120 students including not only our kids classes but also our classes for teenagers and adults. Drake Bay’s school has started wonderfully with approximately 85 students. Kids and adults who are learning English using the Montessori Method and creativity, emphasizing in oral communication.

Nature Kids and Token Planet

Nature Kids had the pleasure to meet another non profit organization called Token Planet. This foundation helps funding with specific projects and also helps the foundation to get more exposure in the media so people get to know the specific project and the foundation a lot better. Token Planet went with us to Drake Bay to help us with our “English on Horseback Project”. They went to our school took pictures and videos and they went with us to Los Planes which is a community that will be beneficiary of this program. We met with the kids and we had the opportunity to get to know the area a little bit better. If you want to read the article that Token Planet wrote about us please visit this link:

Fundraising

Nature Kids staff is putting together a fundraising event that will take place on April and these past weeks had been full of hard work so that we can get more donations and more exposure of our program. Thankfully we have had a good response to this event and we have found a lot of people that is interested in helping!!

New School for Salitral

The community of Salitral has come together in order to build a new school that will provide the opportunityf or more people to come and learn English. The construction of this building is going well so in a few months we are going to be able to bring tools for self-reliant futures through English to more community members!!!

Thank you to all of our sponsors!
